Episode from the history of the queen of Palmyra, which formed part of the decoration of a room in the Zenobio Palace in Venice, with scenes from the life of the queen, whose name was that of the family. Zenobia, queen of Palmyra, maintained the kingdom’s independence from her and ruled against the harassment of Rome between 262 and 272 AD, when she was defeated and taken prisoner by the Emperor Aureliano.
