Fragment of the painting “Hadrian visiting a Roman-British pottery”, painted in 1884 and cut out by the artist in 1893. The other two fragments of the painting painted in 1884, and cut out by the artist, are in Soestdijk, Koninglijk Huisarchief Museum and in Amsterdam, Historic Museum. This painting was retouched and finished in 1910 to be offered to the Luxembourg Museum. (M’O)
