Central panel of the predella of the triptych commissioned by the apostolic prothonotary Gregorio Correr for the high altar of the church of San Zeno in Verona and produced between the end of 1456 and 1459. The main panels of the altarpiece have remained in place: The Virgin and the Child between Saints Peter, Paul, John the Evangelist and Zeno on one side, Saints Benedict, Lawrence, Gregory and John the Baptist. The other two elements of the predella, Christ in the Garden of Olives and The Resurrection were sent to the Museum of Fine Arts in Tours in 1806. (Louvre)
